A decentralized application that is developed on top of blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, NEO or EOS. It follows a specific rule and automates certain or all the functions with the help of smart contracts. dApps always need to be open source and must operate without any controlled party. dApps can be created by organizations to automate specific tasks or merely providE a way for their users to have an interface with particular functionality. dApps require tokens to work.
