Where does this project come from?

Auto MIDI Player began as a fork of GenshinLyreMidiPlayer and evolved into a standalone multi-game, full-featured project. See Project History for more details.

Cool name? Where did it come from?

Thanks! The name "Auto MIDI Player" was chosen to reflect the core functionality of the app, automatically playing MIDI files in games. The abbreviation "AMP" was also appealing as a catchy and memorable acronym. It also stands for "Amplifier" which fits nicely since the app “drives” instruments in-game… and yeah, it can also literally play music through your speakers 😅

Which games/instruments are supported?

Support currently includes Genshin Impact, Heartopia, Roblox piano, and Sky instruments. See the Support page for details on supported games and instruments.

Can this get me banned?

The short answer is that it's uncertain. Use it at your own risk. Do not play songs that will spam the keyboard, listen to the MIDI file first and make sure to play only one instrument so that the tool doesn't spam keyboard inputs.

What kinds of MIDI files work best?

Files with clean track separation and playable note ranges generally work best. Songs that exceed instrument range often need transpose or track filtering.
