📌 Project Objective

To explore the structure of Hindustani ragas using probabilistic models, particularly Markov chains, to generate new raga compositions.

🔍 Research Question

Using Fundamentals of Probability and Statistics, how can we use existing musical notes to generate new, valid raga compositions using probabilistic models?”

⏹️ Hypothesis

If existing raga note sequences are modeled using Markov Chains, then the generated raga compositions will exhibit note transition patterns significantly more similar to traditional compositions than those generated by random note selection.
