PollenCast

Finally know which plant touched which plant and when, so you stop accidentally ruining your entire seed certification batch.

PollenCast tracks every pollination event across greenhouse zones and ties them directly to seed lot certification records in real time. Breeders get a full audit trail from parent plant to packaged seed — no more mystery batches. Compliance exports that used to take three weeks now take thirty seconds and actually hold up to regulatory scrutiny.

Features

  • Real-time pollination event logging across unlimited greenhouse zones
  • Audit trail engine that resolves parent-to-seed lineage across up to 14 breeding generations
  • Native sync with USDA APHIS certification schemas via the PhytoLink API
  • Bulk compliance export in ISTA, OECD, and custom regulatory formats. One click.
  • Full seed lot lifecycle management from cross event to packaged SKU

Supported Integrations

Salesforce Agribusiness Cloud, PhytoLink, FieldCore, LIMS360, SeedVault Pro, AgTrace, Trimble Ag Software, NeuroSync Greenhouse OS, CertifyBase, FarmStack API, SAP Agriculture, Granular

Architecture

PollenCast is built on a microservices backbone with each greenhouse zone running as an isolated event-publishing service, feeding into a central audit ledger over a hardened message bus. Pollination events are persisted in MongoDB for their flexible document model — certification records and lot relationships live there too, nested exactly the way regulators expect to see them. Redis handles all long-term seed lineage storage because the read latency at scale is simply non-negotiable. The whole thing deploys via a single Helm chart and survives zone failures without dropping a single event.
