Summary

  • New blog post benchmarking Terraform HCL vs Pulumi TypeScript token efficiency across Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT-5.2-Codex
  • HCL uses 21-33% fewer tokens per generation, but Opus + Pulumi has 41% lower total pipeline cost due to zero repair cycles
  • Includes benchmark data tables, console logs from runs, and links to reproducible benchmark repo
  • Meta image with AI robot, Pulumi, and Terraform logos

Test plan

  • Verify blog renders correctly at /blog/token-efficiency-vs-cognitive-efficiency-choosing-iac-for-ai-agents/
  • Verify github-card shortcode renders for dirien/iac-token-benchmark
  • Verify info alert renders around MCP server tooling paragraph
  • Verify meta image displays correctly in social previews
  • Confirm all percentage claims match benchmark data

- Remove .claude/launch.json (accidentally included dev config; .vscode/launch.json already exists)
- Fix doubled "that that" in methodology paragraph

Thanks @dirien! The post is well-researched with solid benchmark data and clear methodology. I made two small changes before approving:

  • Removed .claude/launch.json — looked like an accidentally included dev config (.vscode/launch.json already exists in the repo)
  • Fixed a doubled word in the methodology paragraph: "an open-source tool that that sends" → "an open-source tool that sends"
