There are more pyprojs on github than, e.g. node.js

The built-in table has already shipped, adding this would break backward compatibility with .NET 9 SDK and VS 17.14.

The built-in table has already shipped, adding this would break backward compatibility with .NET 9 SDK and VS 17.14.

.NET 9 goes out of support in November but VS 17.4 goes out of support January 2032 according to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/releases/2026/servicing-vs

So does that mean this PR would have to wait until then or couldn't VS 17.4 just stick to a specific major version so we don't have to hold back the rest of the ecosystem because of it (like .NET Framework does in general)?
