AI Buddy

AI Buddy is an entertaining chat web application where users can interact with a variety of AI-powered personas. It serves as a platform for fun conversations, creative exploration or practicing social interactions.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js
  • npm (or pnpm/yarn)
  • A Google Gemini API Key

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/krivdat/aibuddy.git
    cd aibuddy
  2. Install dependencies:

    npm install
  3. Configure Environment Variables:

    Create a .env file in the root directory (or rename .env.example to .env) and add your Google Gemini API key:

    GEMINI_API_KEY="your_api_key_here"

Running the App

Start the development server:

npm run dev

# or start the server and open the app in a new browser tab
npm run dev -- --open

Building

To create a production version of your app:

npm run build

You can preview the production build with npm run preview.

To deploy your app, you may need to install an adapter for your target environment.
