Verified Community R&D
Experience here: https://onlywhatsneededauth.netlify.app/ Objective A functional prototype of a community voting engine that converts social media sentiment into verified, bot-proof product requirements using a WhatsApp-based authentication flow.
- Core Logic: The Verification Handshake Instead of SMS OTP (high cost/failure), this system uses a WhatsApp Deep-Link strategy.
Trigger: User selects an option (e.g., Mango Chilli) and enters a phone number.
Action: The UI generates a unique session token and opens a WhatsApp URL: wa.me/{OWN_NO}?text=Verify_Vote_{TOKEN}.
Verification: The user hits "Send" in WhatsApp. The backend matches the incoming message/number to the active web session.
UI Update: The browser uses Interval Polling to check the verification status. Once the backend confirms the message, the UI automatically flips to the "Vote Certified" state.
- Technical Specifications Frontend: HTML5, Tailwind CSS (Mobile-responsive cards).
Authentication: WhatsApp Business API (WABA) for "Proof of Human" identity.
Data Structure:
Sentiment Signals: Aggregated data from Instagram/LinkedIn API (Mocked).
Official Votes: Deduplicated entries tied to unique WhatsApp IDs.
UI Components:
Live Voting: Real-time percentage bars with deadline countdowns.
Constraint-Feedback: Cards show business trade-offs (e.g., Cost +₹18/unit) for specific choices.
The Fingerprint: A ledger-style view for users to track their historical verification status.
- Why WhatsApp Verification? Cost: ~₹0.15 per authentication (India rate). Unlike SMS, you only pay for successful sessions.
Integrity: Harder to bot than social media polls or email-based systems.
Acquisition: Every vote initiates a verified WhatsApp thread, providing a high-open-rate channel for product launch updates.

Tab 2: My Fingerprint (Identity & Vote history)
Tab 3: Product Journey (Batch-level traceability)
Tab 4: Label Translator (Ingredient transparency in regional languages)
