Agree on the minor, since it's just adding new features, and one has to explicitly call the new commands if they wish to make use of them.

Yup, it's just making sure we do a major bump for breaking changes like the upcoming pnmp default so we can separate out what works for v13 and what works for v14 |

Description
I think we want to do a minor release for these changes, since they make a slight change to the install pattern. I want to do a release before merging any v14-specific code, which I think needs to be on v2.x.
But I can also be convinced that this should be a patch and v1.10 should be for v14. Just let me know!
