Release notes

Release v4.0.0

Gotta go fast 🧗

git-cliff-action is now waaaaaaaay faster.

We switched to a classic bash script to download the git-cliff binary instead of a Docker action. So, no more building images, it just downloads and runs. Vroooom! 💨

Thanks @M0NsTeRRR for the implementation in orhun/git-cliff-action#26

Version input ✨

Also, you can now specify a git-cliff version to run:

- name: Generate a changelog
  uses: orhun/git-cliff-action@v4
  with:
    version: latest
    config: cliff.toml
    args: --verbose

The default is v2.5.0 as of now, but you can also use latest.

  • Review comments: Directly reply to a review comment made by CodeRabbit. Example:
    • I pushed a fix in commit <commit_id>, please review it.
    • Explain this complex logic.
    • Open a follow-up GitHub issue for this discussion.
  • Files and specific lines of code (under the "Files changed" tab): Tag @coderabbitai in a new review comment at the desired location with your query. Examples:

    • @coderabbitai modularize this function.
  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:

    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and explain its main purpose.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
    • @coderabbitai help me debug CodeRabbit configuration file.
