Some of these folks were present on a call last week, but not all. As an outgoing steerco member, it would be really valuable to see that the names listed have in fact accepted the nomination.

I find the request reasonable @eddie-knight but I also know a lot of these conversations with senior folks happened in 1:1 meetings or calls.

To not let proces get in the way of progress, can I suggest:

  1. Merge the PR so we can announce in Toronto next week
  2. @robmoffat to ask each steerco members to reply to the welcome email (assume there's a steerco list) to formally accept the nomination
