Visual FHIR The Visual FHIR is a graphical tool to convey the content of the HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) specification. This tool is helpful for navigating the HL7 FHIR specification and aiding its profiling.

Functional introduction:

1. Browsing FHIR resources
2. Browsing FHIR profiles or extensions
3. Creation of FHIR profile and extension

Installation and deployment:

1. Environment: jdk 1.7, tomcat 7
2. Copy FHIR.war to the Tomcat “webapps”, a directory which is the default appBase loction
3. Run tomcat: /bin/startup.bat
4. Open http://localhost:8080/FHIR in the browser.
