GitHub - TedKachulis/COMP4601-RecommenderSystem: COMP4601 Assignment 2 (2019) - Basic goal of the system was to create a simple contextual advertising recommender system for given users based on a corpus of 82,000 movie reviews. System functionality includes several key sections. First the ArchiveTools package, which handles the unpacking of an archive folder which contains the movie, user, and review data. The ArchiveTools package also allows for score extraction (based on user review text content sentiment) as well as categorizing movie genres. Secondly, in the web services project, a package called ContextualAdvertisingSystem provides the RESTful endpoint functionality, as well as browser interface tools as required in the assignment specifications. This project's web front end is accessed through endpoints defined in the repo documentation, and runs on an Apache Tomcat v9 server engine. Included in this repo you will find both a readme.txt, as well as an analysis.pdf. In both of these documents you will find run instructions, in the PDF you will find further descriptions of functionality and logic.
