Bloom After - Official Release (v1.0.0)

Welcome to the official v1.0.0 release of Bloom After!

Bloom After is a digital safe space designed specifically for mothers navigating postpartum depression (PPD) and maternal mental health challenges. This release represents the culmination of our team's work to build a calming, accessible, and deeply empathetic platform.

Core Features

  • Community Story Library: A safe space where mothers can read and share their personal recovery journeys. Includes a multi-step submission flow with a rich-text editor, custom tagging ("What helped me"), and options for anonymous or named publishing.

  • Clinic & Specialist Finder: An interactive directory featuring map integration to help users locate verified maternal mental health professionals and clinics near them.

  • NGO & Support Directory: A dedicated hub connecting mothers with non-governmental organizations and vital support networks that specialize in maternal care.

  • Lifestyle & Medical Interventions: Comprehensive and easy-to-digest guides focused on actionable lifestyle changes, coping mechanisms, and professional medical interventions for managing PPD.

  • Instant Crisis Support: A globally accessible, instant-loading crisis modal that pins 24/7 helplines and immediate support resources so users can get help without friction.

  • Educational Hub: A curated library of media resources, including podcasts and articles tailored for maternal mental health.

  • Admin Moderation Dashboard: A secure backend portal for the team to review pending stories, add internal notes, and approve/reject community submissions to maintain a safe environment.

Under the Hood (Architecture & Tech Stack)

  • Frontend: Built with a modular, feature-based architecture utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TipTap for rich-text editing.

  • Backend & Data: Fully integrated with MongoDB to handle flexible, document-based data structures (like story tags and varying clinic details).
