just a minor comment here - reviewing the MGDS PR will take me some time
Now that this doesn't just apply to aspect bucketing, I have renamed the value to a more general term.

This depends on the corresponding MGDS PR (Nerogar/mgds#46) to land and be updated with the new MGDS commit hash.
