v0.1.3
Changes in this release:
[+] Correcting typos in readme and help.
[+] Adding information about necessity of creating cache directory
before using Gopherweb. The Gopherweb now check whether directory
exists - if it doesn't, you'll see an error.
[+] Changing location of cache directory from C:\\Program Files\\gopherweb
to C:\\gopherweb on Windows.
[+] Fixing error on connect macro which resulted in not changing
host when selector pointed at different one.
[+] Fixing error which resulted on halting Gopherweb when trying to show
file with non-UTF-8 content.
[+] Adding alias `cat` to `show`, similarly to known tool.
v0.1.2
v0.1.0
First important, but still alpha-phase release of Gopherweb. Currently it allows browsing Gopher domains, directories and textfiles. There is also an update command.
The gopherweb.exe is intended for Windows, while gopherweb for Linux.
As you could see in readme, Gopherweb gives user two ways of browsing Gopherspace:
- The more kind one involves moving to root of current domain by
visitcommand and then visiting particular directories/files bycdandshowconjuncted with numbers assigned to particular links as user could see after reading content of website. - The more custom one simulates behavior of address bar in traditional GUI web browser. By using
customcommand user can either move to directory defined in parameter or change domain and move to directory at once.
In next releases I'm planning to add function of downloading binaries (including updates) and searching Veronica-2.
