Releases: NatLabRockies/CampusEnergyModeling
Version 0.2.1
This release revises 0.2 and releases the project code under the LGPL open source license.
Other significant changes:
- Adds a Campus with Central Plant demo that illustrates how to connect several EnergyPlus models in Simulink using MLE+
- Adds a pseudo real-time clock block for real-time simulation (see the Hardware in Loop section of the wiki for usage guidance/caveats)
- Deprecates DataBus support and removes DataBus as a data source for demos
Known Issues:
- Using MLE+ with Java 7 produces a warning message about non-serializable socket ports when run.
- Using MLE+ with EnergyPlus 8.1 sometimes fails with an MLE+ packet decoding error. (Cause unknown.)
Use of Java 6 and EnergyPlus 8.0 is recommended to avoid these issues.
With this release, NREL is suspending active development of the campus energy modeling platform until further notice. We hope that this open source release will encourage adoption and further development of the platform by users outside of NREL.

Version 0.2
This release includes a major rework of the electric vehicle (EV) models. The Simulink library now includes an Electric Vehicles section with five block models related to EVs. In addition, there are two new demos related to EVs:
- EV Demand Management - Demonstrates demand management using supervisory control of EV charging
- EV PV Smoothing - Demonstrates smoothing of photovoltaic array output using supervisory control of EV charging
