English to Sinhala Neural Machine Translator

This work focuses on building a machine translation system that translates English sentences into Sinhala. The translation system uses a Neural Machine Translation (NMT) model based on the encoder-decoder architecture with Gated Recurrent Units(GRUs), implemented using TensorFlow. The model is trained to learn sentence-level mappings from English (source language) to Sinhala (target language).
