The changes implement a robust app lock feature with biometric authentication support, properly securing the AppLockActivity as non-exported and conditionally displaying the option in settings only when biometrics are available. The fix for modifier placement in IllustrationWithHalo and the migration to FragmentActivity demonstrate attention to UI correctness and library compatibility.
