First-time setup takes about 5–10 minutes. After that, just double-click to start.

Download the ZIP file, then extract it:
- Windows: Right-click the ZIP → "Extract All"
- macOS: Double-click the ZIP

CardForge needs Python 3.10+ to run. If you've never installed it:

Open the extracted folder, find start.bat, and double-click it.
打開解壓縮後的資料夾，找到 start.bat，雙擊它。
Windows 可能會跳出安全性警告（藍色畫面「Windows 已保護您的電腦」），這是正常的。點「更多資訊」→「仍要執行」即可。
A black window will appear — this is normal, don't close it. Your browser will open automatically after a few seconds.
Open Terminal (press Command + Space, type "Terminal", press Enter), then run:

How do I import my Excel file? / 怎麼匯入 Excel？
- Make sure your file is saved as
.xlsx(not.xlsor.csv) - Open the app at
http://localhost:5001 - Click New Session → Upload File
- The app reads the first row as column headers and imports all remaining rows
確認檔案格式為 .xlsx，點擊「匯入 Excel」→「上傳檔案」，系統自動讀取第一列為欄位標題，其餘列為員工資料。
How do I export cards? / 怎麼匯出名片？
After customizing in the editor, click Export All in the top toolbar.

How do I add a new field to the card? / 怎麼在名片上新增欄位？
- Add a column to your Excel (e.g.
Line ID) / 在 Excel 新增一欄 - Re-upload the file to create a new session / 重新上傳建立新 Session
- Click "Add Field" in the editor — the dropdown lists all your Excel columns automatically / 點「新增欄位」，下拉選單自動抓取所有 Excel 欄位
- Drag the new field to position it / 拖曳到名片上的位置
CardForge reads your Excel headers directly. Any column you add immediately appears as an option — no config files needed.

Can I use my own card background? / 可以用自己的名片底圖嗎？
Yes. Click "Change Template" to upload your own PNG or JPEG for front and back. Recommended resolution: 4083 × 2450 px at 300 DPI.

Does it work offline? / 可以離線使用嗎？
Yes, completely. CardForge runs entirely on your local machine. No internet connection is required after the initial setup.

What about Chinese + English text? / 名片同時有中英文怎麼辦？
CardForge ships with two font families:
- Noto Sans TC — CJK support (Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
- Maven Pro — clean Latin typeface for English
You can assign a different font to each field individually. Mix and match freely.

start.bat doesn't work / start.bat 無法執行？
Windows security warning: If you see "Windows protected your PC" (blue screen), click "More info" → "Run anyway". This is normal for downloaded scripts.
Python not found: Make sure Python is installed and you checked "Add Python to PATH" during installation. If you missed it, reinstall Python and check the box this time.
