1.1 Debriefing

Introduction

On Monday the 4th of November Rick Herder(exposition creator) from het Tropenmuseum gave a kick-off presentation for functional programming. Rick told us they were working on an exposition about het Tropenmuseum. The exposition would be about their collection, as no one working at het Tropenmuseum really knew how many things they have in their collection because it is huge.

The assignment

Long story short Rick asked us to make a collection-wide data visualisation. The reason for it being collection-wide, is that het Tropenmuseum usually makes expositions that are really focused on one certain subject. Rick gave some examples as of what we could make like which materials are used etc.
