Has anyone else had their system/chrome updates interrupted after installing this?

Recently around using this SW I noticed my Chrome has stopped receiving updates in addition Windows update troubleshooter has stopped working.

I've also noticed suspicious connections to google updater for the installer exe on Virustotal.
MalwareBytes has found Adware.Elex inside my chrome user data folder..
Has anyone else had a similiar experience?

Thanks for reporting this.

I use Inno Setup as the installer builder. It’s an open-source installation tool for Windows created by Jordan Russell and Martijn Laan. The portable version is just a direct copy of the Visual Studio 2022 build output, without any installer at all.

I’ll keep monitoring and also re-check my release process to be sure. If anyone else experiences something similar, please share details so I can investigate further.
