Option to ignore path or read .gitignore missing

The extension is great, but for me it is missing an option to ignore configured paths or read and ignore .gitignore contents.

I have almost ever libraries in my working directory and i would like tags in their *.md files not to clutter with my own tags. That would maybe be easier, if fast-glob would be used instead of doing the operation by your self.

Please give at least an opinion on that feature request.
