Profile Update Issue

Background

• Created AO Profile in August 2024. Updated the profile in July 2025 (updated via Bazar, but my understanding is that AO Profile is shared globally).

Problem

• LiquidOps is using old profile information and cannot update it.
  • Cleared site cache and reconnected wallet, but nothing changed.
  • Since Bazar displays the new profile, I don't think this is an issue with the profile registry process.

Notes

• However, it's unclear whether this issue stems from LiquidOps or AO itself.

  • If it's on the LiquidOps side, it could be API cache issues or bugs in AO Profile-related implementation.
  • If it's on the AO side, it might be due to HyperBeam migration effects or some AO Profile processing issue.

• Fundamentally, while AO Profile is important for NFTs and SocialFi, detailed user information like AO Profile isn't crucial for DeFi, so it might be acceptable to temporarily remove it from the implementation.

• AO Profile is a wonderful mechanism unique to AO, but I've only seen it actually being used by Bazar and LiquidOps. Notably, other DeFi protocols on AO don't use AO Profile.

Yes this is a bug on our side, we are using a outdated version of AO-profile by the looks of it!

I will create a ticket to update it our side and update you here when ready!
