[BUG] Keyboard is vertically squished sometimes in portrait mode

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open any app that accepts keyboard/text input.
2. Open the keyboard.

Expected Behavior
Keyboard is not squished in either mode (portrait or landscape) and appears normal.

Actual Behavior
Keyboard sometimes appears vertically squished (see screenshot in Additional Context). Rotating my phone to landscape mode with the keyboard open and then rotating it back to portrait mode fixes this (assuming the app you're using supports rotation). I'm not sure what causes this, so I don't know how to reliably reproduce it (yet).
