SlashScan (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Heesung Woo and Heechan Jeong,
Advanced Forestry Lab, Oregon State University.
This Privacy Policy explains how SlashScan handles user information and device permissions.
SlashScan does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or usage data.
All LiDAR scans, mesh reconstructions, and measurement results are processed locally on the user’s device.
No data is uploaded to external servers or shared with third parties.
The App may request limited access to device hardware for essential functionality:
- Camera and LiDAR Sensor – used solely for 3D scanning.
- Location (GPS) – optionally used to record the geographic position of scanned piles.
All data remains on the user’s device and is never transmitted or stored externally.
SlashScan does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks.
No external APIs or cloud services are accessed during normal app operation.
All data generated by SlashScan remains stored only on the user’s device until manually deleted.
SlashScan does not share, sell, or transmit any data to any third party.
