I am a software engineer and robot builder dedicated to making AI and robotics more accessible through open source.

🤖 My Work

I am the creator and maintainer of ChatterBot, a machine-learning conversational dialog engine. Since its inception, ChatterBot has grown into a global project used by thousands of developers to build chat bots.

Beyond software, I am passionate about robotics most notably Salvius, an open-source humanoid robot built from recycled parts. My goal is to bridge the gap between complex engineering and creative exploration, which I also pursue through my writing and publications.

💖 Why Sponsor?

Open source is a labor of love, but it also requires a significant amount of time and resources to maintain. Your sponsorship helps me:

  • Maintain and Improve ChatterBot: Keeping dependencies up to date, merging PRs, as well as improving and expanding its functionality.

  • Support New Projects: Funding the research and development of new robotics hardware and software.

  • Documentation & Community: Ensuring that these tools remain easy for everyone to learn and use.

Whether you're a developer using my libraries or someone who shares a love for robots, I truly appreciate your support in keeping these projects alive and thriving.

@gunthercox

It would mean a lot to me to reach 10 sponsors. Regardless of donation amounts that would represent a meaningful level of support for the projects that I eventually hope to dedicate full-time efforts to.
