Mac OS 11 Big Sur: cannot execute npm run test or open application

npm run test brings up error

this is what the file setup looks like

clicking to run does not work either, and here is the error displayed

also, i don't see a .bin or .exe file to open in any of the folders

i have node.js 15.12.0, 8GB RAM and Mac OS 11 Big Sur

i tried reading the readme and releases over and over again, but sorry if i missed something

Try installing electron globally through npm or if you're using the source try installing it as a dev dependency. Seems like you don't have electron. If that doesn't seem to work I'll check back and see what the problem could be.

Also using the code try running npm install in the same directory as the package.json to install any dependecies needed for the node application to work.

Why don't you try installing the actual zip file instead of downloading the code? I'm sure that will help more since you don't have to run anything lol

From an issue at electon electron/electron#10702:
The issue looks similar and they have said running npm clear cache or npm cache --force clean works for them although I don't know if that will be the case here, but worth a try.

Do you know if m1 and electron are friends yet? It might be that kind of an issue
