This is a component of an access control system that enables a blast gate to be integrated into the system.
There is a blast gate dongle that is a component, that interfaces with interrupt and access. It passes these control signals through a cheaper/simpler wired interface (like RJ45?) to a central orchestrator for the shop, that will coordinate vacuums and blast gates according to what equipment is online at the moment.
The dongle may be the blast gate itself or the orchestrator may connect to the blast gate, I haven't figured that far out yet. If the blast gate is part of the ACS deployment, it can be powered locally from the deployment.
