Cannot write log file

Hello

I run regenie in WSL through docker. In "step1" it creates a folder and tries to create a log-file within it, but fails with error message "Cannot write log file". The working directory is under /home-folder, and when running the image with bash I am able to write files in that folder, so there should not be a permission issue. Have anyone else had this problem?

Hi Micael,

As you suggested, this seems to be a permissions issue. Have you checked in WSL through docker whether you are able to write files in the folder (e.g. a simple command like echo "example" > test_file.txt)? (note: I think this is a case where you could use an ai tool to help you debug) Sorry for taking so long to reply to your issue!

Yes, I could write files "manually" with docker, which made me think it was not a permission issue.

Anyway, instead of using WSL, I made a .sif-file of regenie v4.1 and ran it on a linux cluster with apptainer. That worked without problem.
