This issue may be a bit out-of-scope but how did you figure out the capture functionality? As far as I know it isn't publicly documented and is only used by the Philips Hue app. I tried reverse engineering the aforementioned Hue app but failed.
I would really love it if you can share some insight, I would love to take a shot at making a WLED or third-party Hue app.
