Idea.

Add a new formatter to propose ODict files to users: https://www.odict.org/

Interesting parts:

• pronunciations, variants: https://www.odict.org/docs/xml/entry
• POS table: https://www.odict.org/docs/reference/pos
• grouped definitions: https://www.odict.org/docs/xml/group

Notes:

• at least one etymology is mandatory, meaning etymology-free versions are not possible (and that's OK)

Open question:

1. How to display genders?

Yes, I was thinking that too.

Oh, I get it.

For this case, this is not possible since it uses a dict of abbreviations -> full POS. Any value not in the dict will fail.

On a global case, this might be interesting. It would be some work to properly store the data.

I didn't read the full specs of odict yet but love the idea (it could replace the volume approach for the webapp btw).
