Update actions to use Node.js 24

Hi 👋
I am using r-lib/actions/setup-r@v2 and I get a warning:

Node.js 20 actions are deprecated.
Actions will be forced to run with Node.js 24 by default starting June 2nd, 2026. Please check if updated versions of these actions are available that support Node.js 24.

Are there plans to update this action? Thanks in advance!

Also having the same issue, causing failure of my pkgdown.yaml GHA, and subsequent non-deployment of my site

@petelaud Can you show how your workflow fails because of this? I.e. can you link to a workflow run that fails because of this?

This should not cause any workflow failures in general. I don't know if you can make your workflow fail because of these kind of warnings, but if you can, then it is not a good idea because they are often unavoidable and they are also harmless. E.g. for this particular one, nothing changes until June 2nd, 2026.

Apologies, my mistake, I had some topics missing from my index. Jumped to a conclusion because the only message I got on the workflow run was about the node.js 20. Sorry
