When double-tapping to seek, the player interface appears

Steps to reproduce

In this new player, when double-tapping to seek, the player interface appears. However, this doesn't happen when seeking once or three times. I'm not sure if it would be possible to prevent the player interface from appearing when seeking?

Expected behavior

That the player interface does not appear when seeking, and instead behaves like in the video example:
