How to play offline LAN ?

I tried making my My IP address 127.0.0.1 and my friend connect on my locale IP but whenever I enter the game it give me only server browser without the game and error can't connect to 127.0.0.1 check project-bo4.json (I already edited both v4 and server to 127.0.0.1) ,, and I can't load game game using command console ,, it says fucked up assets :) .Like damn why my assets fucked up?

its a bit late answer but we are going to implement local play(as much as close the one is there in console version) soon

Damn you're awsome, that will eliminate the need of costume server to play locale, BIG thanks to all of the team members working this.

Please get us a solution, me and my buddies have tried to get this to work on LAN to play together.
If theres a way today, wich one is it? Ive installed eveything and done all instructions. Game is playable without problems, only that i cant choose servers on main screen to browse.

All things I mentioned in first commect is accually all nessassary to play offline LAN, but one crusial step I missed that it's mandetory to start your own costum server . use this link https://shield-bo4.gitbook.io/document/server-setup-outdated/server-setup .

note: you need internet connection once you start the game until all the letters in bottom right showup, at this point you can close your internet, otherwise it will be 1 fps and crash. Then it's now offline LAN.
