I wanted to know if there is a release date for snmp v3. Thank you

There is not currently an ETA. V3 hasn't had much demand so I haven't worked on it in a while. The hold up initially was that there were no pre-existing dart implementations of the cryptographic functions necessary to encode/decode v3.

That was some time ago so the situation may have changed. If those functions are now part of a dart crypto library, that could make it easier to implement this. Nonetheless, I currently have very little available bandwidth to dedicate to new features and am mostly just doing bug fixes for the time being.

I really would love to get this feature added and make the library complete but I don't have the resources right now to put a timeline on it. Any contributions are of course, welcome and appreciated.

For your use-case, is v3 the only supported protocol or is it a preference for security reasons?
