ScatterGeo legend is blocked by controls

So I'm using the scattergeo plot and I'm getting an issue where the legend is blocked by the controls, see screenshot:

Note: I've had this issue since #301 but I've just always forgotten to write it down 😅

While working on another issue I figured out what the problem was.
I had set a layout to
.margin(plotly::layout::Margin::new().top(0).left(0).bottom(0).right(0))
Setting it to
.margin(plotly::layout::Margin::new().top(25).left(0).bottom(0).right(0))
Fixed this issue. 🤦‍♂️

It does seem that you (or copilot?) have found something else though.

On a related note, I am trying to resize the plot so that it is big every time but it is not going well for me.

I feel like these are related but I don't know how or why.
Thanks for checking on this, let me know if I should do anything (though it will take me a while).
About the resizing, I've tried auto_size true and responsive true and making sure I'm not overwriting height or width anywhere and I don't know why the plot is still so small. Thanks again.

Hi Huldar,
I literally just realized the same thing, right before you wrote. I was looking in the examples/maps and I saw that actually all of them have the same behavior that you described.
You can actually remove that line alltogether .margin(plotly::layout::Margin::new().top(0).left(0).bottom(0).right(0)) and the legend will show properly on the side.

It does seem that you (or copilot?) have found something else though.

I remembered this issue last night and was on my phone and took a chance with copilot agent. But it is hallucinating, of course. domain as far as I know relates to grids and this is not the issue here, as we don't do subplots on grids.

To fix that you have two options.

• one choose a size yourself for the layout, (ugly as it will mean you hardcode a width/height

Layout::new()
      // .margin(Margin::new().top(0).left(0).bottom(0).right(0))
      .width(1200)
      .height(800)
      .geo(

• use responsive and fill options (better)
  On the plot itself call

  plot.set_configuration(Configuration::default().responsive(true).fill_frame(true));
  

you will need to import use plotly::Configuration;

I am going to fix the maps examples and remove .margin(plotly::layout::Margin::new().top(0).left(0).bottom(0).right(0)) and then close the issue.

Let me know if the responsive stuff fixes your simulator issue.

Though I think I will keep the .margin(plotly::layout::Margin::new().top(25).left(0).bottom(0).right(0)) since the top margin is quite big if I leave it empty:

But that fixes all my issues, thank you very much!
