firefox hijacks icons on panel (firefox / xfce)

Hi,

as mentioned here in my comments when I launch applications/websites I created using ICE although the launcher has the correct favicon, the icon on the xfce panel is thet of firefox instead of the correct one. Tried any solution on the above linked thread, any ideas on what could be the issue causing this problem?

I am on xfce/debian 10. Thank you in advance!
