Question about project status and potential collaboration

Hi!

A few years ago I started developing a “caste” and phenotype mosaics ontology for social insects using ODK (https://github.com/tsrsilva/cato), but I eventually paused the project. I am now considering revisiting some of these ideas (https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.05.18.444717v5), and I would prefer to avoid duplicating efforts if there is ongoing work in this area.

I came across SIBO and was wondering whether the project is currently active, and if there might be interest in additional contributors to help with its development and maintenance.

How are your protege levels?

The first thing I would ask you to do is open this file (the editors file)

https://github.com/obophenotype/sibo/blob/master/sibo-edit.obo

With the latest Protege and make a small reasonable change.

So:

1. create a fork
2. clone it, create a branch
3. open the file in Protege (or whatever tool you want to be using)
4. Make the desired edit
5. commit push, pull request
6. Tag me for review

We will take it from there

Ok, next I would say, just keep adding PRs to things you want to edit.. Once I have seen 5-8 successful PRs I will gradually give you more edit rights on the project. does this sound ok? Let me know what you need!
