<h1><a><span>o3 O3プロジェクトとは（O3projectとは）</span></a></h1>

<h2>O3プロジェクトって何？</h2>
<p>データセンタ(DC)など、企業独自のネットワークへの導入が進んでいる「SDN」を、通信事業者やインターネットなど広域ネットワークインフラに適用するための研究開発を推進しています。<br><br>
O3プロジェクトによる広域SDNが実現すると、通信事業者は、広域ネットワークにおいて、サービスプロバイダの要求に応じてネットワークを従来の約1/10の時間で臨機応変に設計・構築・変更できるようになります。<br><br>
今、複数の広域ネットワークインフラを統合管理するプラットフォームや、そこで用いるアプリケーションなど、広域ネットワークの様々な要素を総合的にSDN化することを目指す研究開発プロジェクトは、世界初となります。<br><br>

本研究の一部は総務省の「ネットワーク仮想化技術の研究開発」による委託を受けて実施しています。<br>
O3プロジェクトでは、上記研究成果を世界中のコミュニティへと公開することによりさらに成果を進化・発展させてまいります。<br>

<h2>O3の由来</h2>
<p>プロジェクト名の『03』は、プロジェクトの全体コンセプトである「Open：オープン性」「Organic：有機的」「Optima：最適化」を表しています。<br><br>
