I did not use your library, i did use your solution though and I have what I looked for with a normal video (-mp4 on iPhone) ...
I needed to display a live stream though and I fail to avoid the .play command to start the stream like with your loop function (so it pops in fullscreen anyhow) ... is that because there is no duration available ... would there be a way to 'kickstart' (start with mp4 and continue to play a live stream) ??
an HLS stream has 'chunks', could they help ...

I've seen it done, the code is buried in a 20000 lines .js so I cannot figure it out anyhow ...
