Thank you for your interest in contributing to AetherShell, a project maintained by Nervosys ("We", "Us", or "the Project").
By submitting a contribution (including but not limited to code, documentation, bug fixes, or other materials) to this project, you ("Contributor") agree to the following terms:
- "Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including modifications or additions to existing work, that is intentionally submitted to this project (via pull request, patch, issue, or any other method).
- "Submit" means any form of electronic or written communication sent to the project, including but not limited to pull requests, commits, issues, and mailing list messages.
You hereby grant to Nervosys and recipients of software distributed by Nervosys a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and any derivative works thereof.
You hereby grant to Nervosys and recipients of software distributed by Nervosys a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contributions, where such license applies only to patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contributions alone or by combination of your Contributions with the project to which you submitted them.
You understand and agree that AetherShell is dual-licensed under:
- The GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later (AGPL-3.0-or-later) for open source use
- A commercial license offered by Nervosys for proprietary and enterprise use
You explicitly authorize Nervosys to distribute your Contributions under both licenses, including the commercial license. This authorization is irrevocable.
You represent that:
a) You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses. If your employer has rights to intellectual property that you create, you represent that you have received permission to make Contributions on behalf of that employer, or that your employer has waived such rights.
b) Each Contribution is your original creation. If any part of your Contribution is not your original work, you will clearly identify its source and any license or other restriction of which you are personally aware.
c) Your Contribution does not violate any third-party rights, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or contractual obligations.
You understand that the decision to include your Contribution in the project is entirely at the discretion of the project maintainers. You are not expected to provide support for your Contributions, except to the extent you desire to do so.
You acknowledge that this project and your Contributions are public, and that a record of the Contribution (including your name and any personal information you provide) is maintained indefinitely and may be redistributed consistent with the project's licenses.
By submitting a pull request or other contribution to this repository, you indicate that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this Contributor License Agreement.
