Thanks for your feedback. I will think about if going back to a installation script is an option instead of using the dotfiles installer. |

Thank you Stephan, I appreciate your response and patience. Best of luck with your wonderful project. I preferred the script because this enabled a full and complete installation of ML4W from a minimal distribution installation. Respect for your hard work.

I do not share this opinion, lately I was nostalgic about non-hypr desktops so I uninstalled ml4w and installed first gnome then plasma and I went back to ml4w a day later, installation was smooth through dotfiles installer and every dependency was installed by following simple instructions... I really like the way it is done right now and think that having multiple ways to install dotfiles like a script beside dotfiles installer is a waste of resources to keep them up to date. You doing great job with those dotfiles and thank you for all your hard work. |

I don't want anything else on my system in the way of desktop environments, prefer to install Arch minimal then take it from there. Trying to achieve this with the current installation method is unnecessarily difficult. Seem to have eliminated the easiest ways to install, script or the aur in favour of a method more suited to installing via an existing desktop environment. Retrograde step causing bloat through unnecessary desktop environment needed to install.

I happened on ML4W a considerable time ago. It used to be dead easy to install, install Arch minimal, git clone the ML4W installation files, run the script, install it and then customise it to suit your preferences. Now it is far more complicated, harder to install and this is disappointing. I've just spent a couple of hours faffing around to get it installed whereas it used to only take about 10 minutes. PLEASE offer a GitHub installation script which can install everything on Arch minimal from a cloned script.
