Contribution to next year's website

Hi,

I want to add a few features to DevCon's website. As this year's conference is over, I think these will still be a nice addition for next year's website. So, I was planning to create the issues and work on them in the upcoming days.

Are there any plans to create the devcon2025 repo soon?

Yes, we are currently working on a few visuals to create a style for the 2025 edition of the conference website and then we are going to create the repo. Most likely based on the existing 2024 edition.

What are the ideas and additions that you have on your mind?

Thanks for getting back. Apologies for the late reply. I must've missed the notification.

I was thinking of adding the following features:

• The ability to bookmark (just like an "add to cart" button) sessions someone is interested in attending. This way, they can view only the ones they've bookmarked and not have to navigate through the agenda. I built an app to solve just that during the conference as I wasn't aware of this repo or that it was open source.
• This one was suggested by a community member from Front End Coders Mauritius. They wanted to have an autocomplete field that would allow them to search for sessions by title and other attributes. On clicking a result (from the suggestion dropdown), the agenda would scroll to the clicked session. I think the motivation is related mostly to mobile users due to scarce screen real estate on these smaller devices but I can see why it could be helpful on desktop devices as well.
• Maybe the added sessions can be saved on the back-end to help with logistics (this would require users to be authenticated though)?

Those are cool suggestions, thanks.
Let me check again as soon as the 2025 repository has been set up, and then there might be opportunities to work on those.
