Modrinth.com website

Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.

No response

Describe the solution you'd like

On the website, the first version by default determines the environment displayed on the project card and used for sorting the list of projects on the search page.

Projects on Modrinth are constantly evolving. Developers improve their work and sometimes even change its core. Players are generally advised to download the latest version of a project, as it is the most stable and contains the most content.

Therefore, I propose determining the environment based on the latest version of the project.

Describe alternatives you've considered

You don't have to change anything. However, I think in some cases players will receive outdated data.

Additional context

I develop mods and came to this idea after realizing that, for a comfortable gameplay experience, my mod should work beyond the client. While searching for a way to publish a mod with a specified environment, like on CurseForge, I realized that the environment is determined by the first version of the project. However, it can be changed in the version settings. Therefore, it would be useful to add the ability to publish versions with a specified environment. I use modmuss50's Gradle plugin for publishing.
