Due to the issues described, the styleguide should provide users with clearer guidance on when to use each variant of the CartesianChart (Area or Line).

Yep, we’ll take a look at that as well. We could either describe the use cases more generally for all chart types, for example under Foundations, or for now it might be enough to add a shorter note directly to the ChartesianChart.
