Microg droidguard helper

Hi, i have come across this package by refreshing my fdroid repos and in the description it says, that it runs on all devices AS long AS you installed the xposed module. Maybe i habe understood it wrong, but am i able to run Pokémon go with it? I have an amazon fire phone and unfortunately they havent unlocked the bootloader and wie are stuck in android 4.4.4

It do not use xposed at all.

Currently Microg droidguard helper do not support KitKat.
It run but fail.

Other parts works fine on KitKat.

In fdroid these is a Version that comes with an xposed module

microG need signature spoofing support in the ROM.

To add signature spoofing support in the ROM there are 2 possibilities:

1. Patch framework.jar
2. Using Xposed to obtain the same effect but without patching framework.jar

But microG itself do not use Xposed.

I know, but the droidguard helper has a Version with an xposed module

Yea but i think im not able to install systenless xposed with Android 4.4

The versions of droidguard helper with an xposed module were test versions that never relly worked.

DroidGuard detects system Xposed, so there is no hope on the short term here. But indeed, systemless Xposed is 5.0+ only, so no luck for you here. Aren’t there any good ROM with 5.0+ for your device? If not, you should probably ask @topjohnwu whether 4.x support is possible/planned.

Here we have lost the main point:

1. Xposed isn't needed to run Pokemon Go.
2. Even if you get Xposed on the phone, Microg droidguard helper still don't work on KitKat yet.

I’ve missed the Pokémon Go point and the Amazon device info. So, first thing that I don’t understand, how can you manage to have signature spoofing working without any kind of root and locked bootloader? Especially, how did you install Xposed in the first place?

On the main issue, Xposed isn’t needed indeed, but PlayService (or MicroG + spoofing) + working SafetyNet is. I suppose they are no PlayServices on Amazon devices? If not, you’re screwed, EOL. If they exists, then you have the choice between MicroG and no Pokémon GO or PlayServices and Pokémon GO (supposing SafetyNet works on such setups).

With some tool you can have root via usb cable without unlock bootloader (not sure but probably, there are exploits for many phones/tablets).

When you have root you can easily patch the framework.jar file and then root can be removed if you want (microG will works also without root).

I hope we get KitKat compatibility for Microg droidguard helper soon (I also have KitKat).

PS: Microg droidguard helper is just an addon for microG Services Core, you need that also.

No, as ale said you don’t need Xposed, but signature faking. And SafetyNet working, which requires MicroG Droid Guard if you’re using MicroG. So you could do signature faking using another method, but still relies on something that’s not available for your device currently for Pokémon GO.

With the normal Xposed you will probably never pass SafetyNet.
To have signature spoofing without Xposed you can use Tingle or Needle.

There are 2 possibilities:

1. Use Open GApps, and after installing them remove root and Xposed. In this case it is possible (I cannot guarantee) that you will pass SafetyNet.
2. Wait for the Microg droidguard helper to become compatible with KitKat, but after that you still have to remove Xposed (or using systemless Xposed that do not work in your case) to pass SafetyNet.
