[Question]: SmartTOC exportability

Your question

I like the SmartTOC creted when looking at a markdown file. When ever I export the content to a pdf, I loose the TOC and would like to have that as part of the pdf output, either as a TOC page(s) at the top or as a navigation capability within the pdf document itself - a list of bookmarks etc..

After reviewing your request and looking at the extension's current architecture, I'm planning to add a Table of Contents section at the top of the exported PDF (via print) and HTML files. It will list all the headings you currently see in the TOC panel when viewing a markdown file, and clicking any link will jump to the corresponding section within the exported PDF or HTML.

Note: This feature will come with a dedicated toggle in the Settings modal (General tab). It'll be disabled by default, so if you'd like to use it, just enable it before exporting your file. I'm aiming to ship this in the next release, v2.8.0.

What I'm not doing (yet): native PDF bookmarks - the side-panel outline you see in PDF viewers. I'll keep this in mind for future releases if it turns out to be a good fit. 🙌
