Please describe your project. Start with the need or problem you are trying to solve with this project. Describe why your solution is going to adequately solve this problem.
This feature provides the ecosystem with Full voting transparency of the Livepeer Treasury grants. The UI has been uplifted so the user can easily see the progress of the grant, the current pass or fail status along with all votes provided by Delegators and Orchestrators.
The feature includes the following details for each vote in the treasury:
The Voter: Identification / address of the voter. Link provided to their Livepeer profile.
Arbiscan vote: Link provided so the user can see vote with full transparency.
Vote Details: The specific vote (For, Against or Abstain).
LPT Amount: The amount of LPT voted (the weight of their vote and % of overall vote).
Reason: The reason provided with vote (soon to be available within Explorer via UI upgrade)
Implementing these features will enable complete transparency to the Livepeer community and will later be within the Treasury voting page on the Livepeer Explorer.
Please describe in more detail why this proposal is valuable for the Livepeer ecosystem
By delivering this feature to the Livepeer ecosytem, the project will achieve its goal of enhancing transparency and accountability in the Livepeer governance process, ultimately strengthening the ecosystem's integrity and trust.
Active Delegators will see their stake weight be used for the greater good and their Orchestrators reason behind their vote.
This will encourage LPT holders to Delegate so that they can also have their vote within the ecosystem.

Please describe in details what your final deliverable for this project will be.
1 .The Voter: Identification / address of the voter with direct link to profile.
2. The Arbiscan vote provided to user to see raw voting data on the blockchain for full transparency.
3. Vote Details: The specific vote (For, Against or Abstain).
4. LPT Amount: The amount of LPT voted (the weight of their vote and % of overall vote).
5. Reason: The reason provided with vote (soon to be available within Explorer via UI upgrade)
Opitimised UI for all devices.
Integration within Livepeer Explorer along with other features. (covered in separate grant)
Please break up your development work into a clear set of milestones
1 )
Develop and integrate full transparency voting features within the LivePioneer app as an interim hosting location until integration into the Livepeer Explorer. This will include displaying: The Voter, Vote Details, LPT Amount, Reason for each vote for every proposal.
Implementation of Full Transparency Voting | $3,000 | September 2024 | March 2025
To provide testing functionality throughout the SDLC, support the maintenance and upgrades to the software. Allowing beta testers and active users to request new features and report any bugs that will be rapidly actioned.
Create promotional content to showcase the feature for the community to trial and explore the voting data with full transparency. Showcasing the importance of full voting transparency and encouraging non Delegators to stake the LPT they currently hold.
Sum up the total requested budget across all milestones, and include that figure here. Also, please include a budget breakdown to specify how you are planning to spend these funds.
$4,500
Specify your team's long-term plans to maintain this software and upgrade it over time
The feature will integrated within the open-source Livepeer Explorer eventually, allowing issues to be raised inside of the project as "Github Issues". issues will re-reviewed and fed back through the Livepeer’s channels for input and if applicable discussions for further developments/features. This will eventually be maintained by myself and another dev as a wider SPE. Any feedback / improvements will be swiftly actioned.
Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.
This feature has been built by myself (@liamdoyle95) but in the future may be maintained by a team consisting of two developers, each bringing their own set of experiences and skillsets, mostly in software engineering and web technologies.
Software engineer with a background in simulation and distributed computing, including simulated communications systems. Experience with full stack development.
Active member of the community and solo developer of the LivePioneers app. Focused on front end development using react, typescript and next.js. Developed web apps for The Graph and Livepeer, harnessing the power of subgraphs to provide Web3 ecosystems with full transparency across all blockchain data.
Both developers have recently build and maintain the XMTP wallet-to-wallet chat feature that is currently hosted within LivePioneers but will also be integrated within the Explorer as part of a separate SPE.

Full transparency in voting is critical to fostering trust and accountability within any decentralised ecosystem. Here’s how this proposal adds value to the Livepeer ecosystem:
Enhanced Accountability
By revealing the identities of voters and their corresponding votes, community members can hold each other accountable for their decisions. This accountability can discourage malicious or self-serving voting behaviours and promote decisions that benefit the ecosystem as a whole.
Informed Decision-Making
With access to detailed voting records, participants can better understand the voting patterns and rationales of different stakeholders. This transparency allows for more informed discussions and debates, ultimately leading to better governance outcomes.
Community Engagement
Transparency in voting can increase engagement by making the decision-making process more open and accessible. Community members are more likely to participate actively when they can see and understand how votes are cast and the weight behind each vote.
Trust Building
Transparency is fundamental to building trust in a decentralised network / ecosystem. When participants can verify that the voting process is open and fair, it reinforces their confidence in the governance mechanisms of the Livepeer ecosystem.
Alignment with Web3 Principles
One of the core tenets of Web3 is decentralisation and transparency. By enhancing the transparency of the voting process, Livepeer aligns itself more closely with these principles, strengthening its position within the broader Web3 community.
Data-Driven Insights
Detailed voting data can provide valuable insights into the governance dynamics of Livepeer. Analysing this data can reveal trends, identify influential voters, and highlight key issues within the community. These insights can guide future proposals and initiatives.
