No table input field when using as Rstudio add-in

I am trying to use the addin version. If I place my cursor on a blank line in a saved Rmd file and run the addin, then in the popup window instead of an empty table should be there is an error message:

Error: attempt to select less than one element in integerOneIndex

I'm running R 3.3.3 and Rstudio 1.0.153

EDIT: I just updated Rstudio to the latest version (1.1.456) and got the same error.
